PAWS to assist Taylor County in implementing spay/neuter program.....We will keep you posted as to our progress in the implementation of this very necessary program into Taylor County. Paws member, Theresa Bruner has asked that PAWS assist her in this project to ensure that the pet over-population problem in Taylor County be minimalized. Other counties needing assistance in this matter should contact PAWS for assistance. Taylor County which presently has no humane organization does have an animal control officer. This county can become a model for other rural counties in WV facing the same problems. We will keep you informed on the progress.
FOHO members learned much in the two hour session as the Peddicords answered questions and offered advice as to what we need to do to promote the interest of animals and pass legislation in WV. FOHO’s Objectives shall be to promote effective legislation pertaining to animal cruelty, neglect, care, health and welfare; to provide effective means for the propagation of humane principles; to prevent cruelty and neglect to animals; to promote enforcement of the laws of the State of West Virginia pertaining to animal cruelty, neglect, care, health and welfare; and to cooperate with other similar organizations in such efforts in the State of West Virginia. Please join us at our next meeting on June 3rd in Morgantown at the Hampton Inn on Van Voorhis Road at 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Join others in WV who like you love animals and want to make a difference.
